READY'S ROCKET   ( More Than Ready )
Sunday, June 14, 2009
READY'S ROCKET bested a field of veteran allowance horse to score his 11th career victory in the opener on the Churchill Downs card going six furlongs over the fast main track.

Tracking the leaders from third with Calvin Borel in the saddle, the 6-year-old son of MORE THAN READY was ready to roll coming off the turn and when the rail path opened (as it nearly always does for Calvin), he dashed through and galloped away to win by three lengths.

READY'S ROCKET races for R. J. Thoroughbred Stables LLC and he is trained by Tim Glyshaw. Bred in Kentucky by Nicky Kearns, he is out of the El Gran Senor mare, Serene Delight.
